ALEJANDRA LAINEZ
Hi, I'm Alejandra.
I'm an engineer by background, an analytics and AI leader by profession, and someone who's always been curious about how things work.

I was born and raised in Honduras. Since then, life has taken me through Costa Rica, Colombia, Texas, and now Seattle. Each place has shaped how I see the world, how I approach problems, and how I connect with people.
Living and working across different countries and cultures has taught me something important: talent and curiosity are everywhere, but access to opportunities isn't.
I've been fortunate to build a career that has allowed me to explore technology, data, business, and now AI. Along the way, I've learned that understanding technology is only part of the equation. What matters is what people can actually do with it.
Outside of work, I spend a lot of time experimenting with AI. I test tools, challenge their limitations, build things, break things, and figure out how to make them more useful.
And one thing keeps coming up: most people are only scratching the surface of what's possible.
MY LEADERSHIP PHILOSOPHY
People first. Always.
Whether I'm leading teams, building technology, or exploring what's next, my starting point is always the same: people.
Why I'm building Human-Centered AI
I believe AI can open doors for people, regardless of their technical background or where they come from.
But access to a tool doesn't automatically mean access to its possibilities. I want to help close that gap.
Part of this is personal. Honduras will always be home in some way, even though I haven't lived there in years. I want to contribute to the place I come from and create opportunities for people who might not otherwise have access to the knowledge and tools I've been fortunate enough to explore.
And that extends beyond Honduras, to Latin America and anyone who's curious about AI but doesn't know where to start or how to go further.
That's why I'm building Human-Centered AI.
I want to share what I'm learning and turn it into practical tools that people can actually use. Not just prompts to copy, but ways to make AI work for you, your goals, and the problems you want to solve.
Some tools will be simple. Others will let you go much deeper. You won't need to know how to code to get started.
And everything will be available in English and Spanish, because language shouldn't determine who gets to participate.
Over time, I want this to become a place where people can explore, learn, contribute ideas, and build things they might not have thought possible.
I'm figuring some of it out as I go, and that's part of the fun.
Welcome. I'm glad you're here.
